Root Canal Treatment Cost in Ahmedabad — What Affects the Price?

Root canal treatment (RCT) saves a badly decayed or infected tooth instead of removing it. The total cost is usually made up of the root canal itself plus a crown to protect the tooth afterwards.

We don't quote one fixed price because every case is different. After examining your teeth we explain every option and its full cost before treatment starts, so there are no surprises.

What affects the cost of root canal treatment?

  • Which tooth. Front teeth usually have one canal; molars have three or four, take longer and cost more.
  • How complex the canals are. Curved, narrow or calcified canals, or re-treatment of an old root canal, need more time.
  • Single or multiple visits. Many cases are done in one sitting; infected teeth may need two or three visits with medication in between.
  • The crown. A crown is usually recommended after RCT on back teeth. Metal-ceramic and zirconia crowns differ in cost and appearance.
  • X-rays and medicines. Diagnostic X-rays and any medicines may be charged separately.

Typically part of the treatment

  • Examination and diagnosis
  • Local anaesthesia
  • Cleaning, shaping and sealing the canals
  • Temporary filling between visits

Often charged separately — worth asking

  • Dental crown (quoted separately; choice of material)
  • Core build-up if a lot of tooth structure is missing
  • Extra X-rays or medicines

Questions to ask any clinic before you decide

Frequently Asked Questions

An extraction costs less on the day, but replacing the missing tooth later with an implant or bridge usually costs more than saving it. We explain both options and their costs so you can decide.

For back teeth, usually yes — root-canal-treated teeth become more brittle and a crown protects them from cracking. For some front teeth a filling is enough. Dr. Jinny will advise for your tooth.

Yes. After examining the tooth and taking an X-ray we explain the treatment, the number of visits and the full cost, including the crown, before we begin.
